Whenever traveling internationally it is a good idea to use a credit card that does not charge a foreign transaction fee. However, in some places it’s simply not possible to use a credit card as a form of payment, whether it’s for safety reasons or the fact that credit cards are not accepted. In those instances it’s obviously necessary to withdraw cash, but the caveat is that almost all banks charge a fee for every withdrawal done outside of their ATM machines. The Charles Schwab debit card is an exception – you can use it at any ATM in the world and pay no fees.
One part of travel that probably all people dislike are the long security/custom lines at airports. Global Entry solves that problem – you get an automatic TSA Pre Check status, which let’s you skip the lines without taking off your shoes, taking out your laptop, etc. Also, whenever entering USA, you can use special kiosks, scan your passport, print the receipt, skip the lines and be out the door in no time. It literally takes no longer than 15 minutes from landing to being able to breathe the fume-filled air outside of the airport.
